Weekly Activities Update

We are at 185,653 total miles so far as a chapter which ranks 20th in the nation and 7th in our region. Please submit your miles to me via text or email with a picture of your VIN and odometer.
You can see your own standings if you log on to HOG.COM and select the Ride 365 tab. We are not that far out of first place in our Region please submit your miles to raise our total.
We are now passing out the door prize tickets at the dealership just before the ride. If you want your door prize ticket meet at the dealership to get it, even if you follow in a car the tickets will be passed out to members just before the ride.
I am working to get a few new club patches for us. Among those I am working on are the Weather Warrior Patch for those who ride 1,000 miles or more in inclement weather, an American Eagle Kick Ass Member pride patch, will be for those who attended all the annual signature rides. Currently we have four the Brass Monkey Ride, Mardi Gras Ride, Wildflower Ride and the Fall Leaf Ride. I will be adding an Annual Helmets and Headstones Ride around Halloween as well. Patches for those who dress up!

Meet at AEHOG at 9a.m. KSU at 9:30 a.m. ride to the Stockyards to see the cattle drive at 11:30 a.m. Once the cattle drive is over, just down the street, walking distance, is Hookers Grill for lunch. The route will avoid highways. We can walk the Stockyards after lunch for a moment. We can go by the visitor center for a free bandana, get some vouchers that includes a free picture. We can even go to Wilson's Leather if anyone is interested.
Ride there is a little over an hour and the ride back if we take the same route will be a little over an hour. Total miles round trip is 80 miles. This will be a great trip for any ladies that are just starting out. Let's just have a great day and enjoy each other's company!!

For those who recently obtained their class M endorsment we host a ride to help them take the next step, out of the parking lot onto the road to get pizza at Earls 377. All riders are welcome but it is a ride to encourage new riders, no war stories to scare new riders please. We will take back roads and not exceed 45 mph, if you would like to come and meet the new riders from the Riding Academy meet at AEHD at 2:00pm with KSU approx 2:15pm. I will buy lunch for those who receive and email invite from Kathy at AEHD others are welcome but must buy their own lunch.

Meet at AEHD 10am for our chapter ride meeting as we ride to:
Unk's Lake Campground and Swimming Hole

Grab a sack lunch and drinks and lets head on over to an old fashon swimming hole. The chapter meeting is from 11-12 then stay for some swimming and a whole lot of fun.

There is a convenience store on site and pizza.

Lonestar Challenge Ride
Meet at AEHD at 7:00am KSU 7:30am for a Double Lonestar Challenge Ride. We will ride to Guadalupe National Park get our point then continue on to Marfa to get our second one at El Cosmico Campgrounds. We will pass through Guadalupe Pass and on the second day go by the Davis Observatory, the highest paved road in Texas.
Almost 1,300 miles in two days for one Kick Ass Ride.

HOG Appreciation Ride - We at American Eagle appreciate our Kick Ass HOG Chapter and have an overnight trip planed to the Kemah Boardwalk in League City with all meals and hotel room provided for $50 a member. We have 25 rooms available first come first serve. Details available at the dealership at the front desk or with Jimmy or Lisa.

Meet at AEHD at 10:30pm dressed in your best Harley-Ween outfit with a KSU of 11pm. We will ride to 13 different cemeteries from 11pm to 2am. This will be a patch ride! I am going to get the patch designed this coming week.
